Information we collect and how we use it
We collect information you provide when you create or manage an account, activate a Lister profile, save a favorite, create or manage a property Listing, upload Listing photos, submit an inquiry, or send a public request. Depending on the feature, this may include your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, profile classification, property information, photos, search preferences, and the content of your request.
We also receive limited technical and security information needed to deliver and protect the marketplace, such as IP address, browser and device request data, session records, timestamps, and authentication or error events. Public calculator inputs are used to return an estimate and are not saved to a user profile or Lead record.
We use information to provide account access, email verification, password recovery, property discovery, Listing management, Favorites, inquiry delivery, administrative review, support, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and maintenance of the platform. Please do not submit sensitive personal information that a form does not request.
- Account and contact information, including name, email address, phone number, and securely stored account credentials.
- Lister and Listing information, including property facts, descriptions, addresses, availability, photos, and owner or agent classification.
- Inquiry and request information submitted through Property Inquiry, Contact, Rental Request, Home Value Request, VIP Home Finder, and List Your Property forms.
- Customer activity needed for delivered features, such as saved Favorites and submitted inquiry history.
- Limited technical, session, security, and diagnostic information used to operate and protect the marketplace.
Sharing, retention, security, and your choices
A Property Inquiry is shared with the responsible owner or agent Lister so that person can receive the property reference and the contact details you submitted. Authorized platform administrators may review Leads, Listings, accounts, CMS content, and operational records according to their assigned permissions. We may also disclose information to vendors that help operate services such as hosting, storage, email delivery, security, and support, or when disclosure is required to protect users, enforce these terms, comply with law, or respond to a valid legal request.
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, this policy and any legally required choices will be updated before the new practice begins. We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including account and marketplace operation, security, dispute handling, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of record and the reason it is kept.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system can promise absolute security. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or appeal a privacy-request decision. Submit a request through the Contact page. We may verify your identity and may retain or decline a request where law permits. The marketplace is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that information was collected from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Information may be processed in the United States. We may update this policy when practices or legal requirements change; the effective and updated dates on this page identify the current version.
- Responsible Listers receive only Property Inquiries associated with their own Listings.
- Authorized administrators and necessary service providers receive access only for legitimate operational purposes.
- Privacy requests may be submitted through the public Contact page and are handled subject to identity verification and applicable exceptions.
- No transmission or storage method is completely secure, even when reasonable safeguards are used.
